It all started in 1999 when Jean Zimmerman decided that it was time to reduce her role with the Sound Team so that she could invest herself in other areas of the church. She passed the role of team leader to Peter Erdman while remaining on the team as a volunteer.
Within a few months Peter pitched the idea of transforming the Sound Team into a Technology Team. Peter saw an emerging need to resource other ministry teams, and envisions technology being a ministry onto itself by reaching demographics that grew up immersed in technology. The Senior Pastor was convinced and highly supportive as the new team was launched the next day. No politics. No red tape. No turf wars. Just common sense, decisiveness and the outpouring of energy to those we serve. From that point forward the level of support and encouragement from congregants and leaders was amazing and consistent.
